Note: Memberships (new and renewals) are now all handled on-line. An email address is required for membership.

This meeting will be held in the Function Centre, which is on the northern side of the theatre.

Entry to the building is via the northern car park.

Parking is available in the northern and southern car parks.
(Belair Rd is the continuation of Unley Rd.)
Note: The car parks against the northern wall are reserved for plug-in vehicles.

anytime from 5:30pm

Minutes for the AGM
Minutes for the General Meeting

Guest Speakers:
Sam Puskaric and Scott Woods from VOLVO came to show us and speak about the new VOLVO EX30 electric vehicles, with two EX30s on display from 7pm.

The AGM for the AEVA SA Branch was held prior to the General meeting.

The video of the VOLVO presentation will be on the Members page soon.


July 17, 2024 - Minutes
Guest Speaker:
David Sargent from EVNV will be talking on EV hire for track experiences and how passion can drive faster EV adoption.

Due to a medical incident at the Vogue Theatre,
prior to the AEVA meeting, we couldn't hold the meeting in the Function Room. Instead it was held in another room at the complex, which did not have any technology available.
David's presentation can be downloaded here, but to see his Notes, you must step through it using the Microsoft Powerpoint application.


June 19, 2024  Minutes
Guest Speaker:
Phil Gell (From Gelco Services) will be talking on Sodium Ion cell research and development and also charger installations, selecting sites, what he has found over the years.


May 15, 2024 - Minutes of two meetings:
- NT Branch forming Special General Meeting
- General Meeting

Guest Speaker:
Luke Varnas (and his team) from BYD brought a couple of BYD Seal EVs and other BYD EVs giving a talk about this model plus a preview of some interesting new models.
Test drives of the BYD Seal EVs, Dolphin and Atto 3 were available from 6:30pm.

Please note:
The Special General Meeting (SGM) of the AEVA SA/NT branch, was held on May 15th, 2024 at 7:30pm.
This was held immediately prior to the AEVA SA/NT General Meeting.

The purpose of this SGM was to introduce and vote in the NT committee members for the newly forming AEVA NT Branch.
At the moment the NT members are part of the SA/NT branch.

All three motions were passed unanimously, so the NT Branch can officially now be a reality.

April 17, 2024 - Minutes
Guest Speaker:
Rob Chadwick, from the Flinders Uni FAST team, will give a talk on “Post Solar Challenge: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”.


March 30, 2024 - Minutes
Guest Speakers:
Mike Poll Jonker gave us an update on his electric projects.
Mike is the Director (National representative on the board) for our AEVA SA/NT branch.
Mike also runs his own business Dkubus Pty Ltd, which specialises in parts for performance vehicles.
Bruce Tonkin gave an update re. the Investigator 1 moving under its own power! - with videos.


February 21, 2024 - No minutes taken.

This meeting was a site visit to Infinitus Aero at: 6 Coongie Ave, Edwardstown SA 5039
Barrie Rogers (Chief Commercial Officer)  showed us around their establishment, where they are developing Australia’s first commercially produced electric light sport aircraft, the E22 Spark.
